I had the opportunity to visit Agra, a city in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The city is most known for being the home of one of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal.

The Taj Mahal was a magnificent sight from a distance and the closer I got to the mausoleum, the more I appreciated the design and detail of the architectural spectacle.

The photo above was taken from the eastern side of the Taj Mahal from the inside of the jawab (a structure identical to the mosque on the western side of the Taj Mahal; was built to maintain architectural symmetry). The boy whose silhouette you see had patiently waited for me to take my photographs, but I signaled him to run in front of my camera because I wanted to capture something different.

Daffodils were in full bloom at the farms in the valley. This person decided to wander down the dirt road away from the public and into the sea of yellow.

Visited the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival over the weekend and caught this photo of the girl playing with her View Master toy and trying to take her own photo of the flowers.

An unexpected clear March night in Seattle. Captured this shot from Dr. Jose Rizal Park in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, overlooking Seattle’s downtown.

The 2011 Seattle Seafair Torchlight parade featured thousands of participants and hundreds of organizations. The Seattle Police Department’s Motorcycle Unit rode down each city block, stopped in formation, and dismounted from their motorcycles. Got this near the start of the parade route on 4th avenue.

This photo was taken in Florence, Italy. My initial intent of taking this photo was to capture the pink bicycle parked on the street. As I snapped away, I managed to capture my original subject as well as the boy chasing after the pigeon.

On my way to the Borghese Gallery in Rome, I passed by a small pond where visitors could rent rowboats in the Villa Borghese Pinciana. The sun was setting and this couple was drifting their way back to shore.

Some people left their sandals on the dirt path as they had their picnic on the grass. I was hanging out on the main level of the Getty Museum looking down into the garden area when I saw this.
